Join the Spring CONFERENCE

Many editor-author, author-literary agent, and other important relationships can result from connecting at PIC.

Our conferences have a reputation for very high quality speakers, collegiality, and a lack of competitiveness among attendees.

Even if you have not yet published, come join the supportive environment!

Conferences can:

  • Seed relationships between content creators and representatives from book publishing companies, magazines, literary agencies, and more.
  • Unearth networking and growth opportunities.
  • Grow the number of publications by BIPOC content creators.
  • Yield book deals, writer contracts, literary agent-author relationships, and more.

Live and recorded presentations and workshops feature:

  •    Writing content— adult fiction and nonfiction manuscripts, devotions, magazine articles, children’s content, scripts, plays
  •  Book concept development
  •  Book proposal development
  •  Queries and pitches
  •  Self-editing
  •  Coauthoring
  •  Ghostwriting
  •  Contracts and legal best practices
  •  Self-publishing design, production, and marketing
  •     How to find and hire an agent, and more

1-on-1 Meetings with Speakers

These 1-on-1 virtual meetings are offered exclusively for paid attendees of our PIC Spring 2024 Conference on a first-come, first-served basis with preference given to registrants who are Black Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC), given our mission to serve these voices that are historically under-represented in the publishing industry.

There is a limit of two appointments per registrant this spring. Meeting slots are filled while supplies last.

Once you have completed your registration, you will be given access to the 1-on-1 meeting signup page to request meetings with our expert speakers.

These informal, approximately 20-minute appointments conducted by phone, Zoom, or equivalent are scheduled at a mutually convenient time at the discretion of the speaker. Speakers are not obligated to follow up following the one-on-one meeting.

“The workshop was more than I expected. I learned so much and met a lot of amazing publishing houses, agents, editors, magazines and amazing guest speakers.”

“I have no words to express how thankful I am that I chose to attend.”
